THESEUS/TEXO has defined visions, techniques, models and tools for an Internet of Services from 2007 to 2011. A major result has been an architecture for service marketplaces and associated engineering and innovation chains. Several SPACE platform services originate from TEXO and have been integrated with other components which are now available to the public.

  • TEXO Security IdM: The Puq deployer recognises advanced security-related artefacts and deploys them into the respective IdM target services. An alternative implementation of the Access Gate evaluates the credentials against these artefacts.
  • PerMoTo: The performance prediction component is used by the Provider Wizard for semi-automatic adjustments to Service Level Agreement templates.
  • SMILA: As alternative to ConQo, services can be selected in a SMILA-based discovery frontend and passed on for configuration to Contract Wizard. The frontend is not available, but SMILA is actively developed as an Eclipse project.
  • USDL Editor: Eclipse-based tool and associated content models for structured creation of USDLv3M4 service descriptions.
  • USDL Marketplace: A web-based marketplace to sell and buy USDL-described services.
  • ISE Workbench: While the workbench itself is not available, SPACE can be extended with a tiny deployment interface which allows publishing services directly from the workbench to the platform.

Additional integration interfaces have been developed with a combinatory auctioning service within Contract Wizard, a ratings ontology store, a service marketplace, a BPEL process monitor and rebinder and an advanced SLA manager. None of these components are publicly available. Therefore, the corresponding SPACE extensions remain inactive as well.

Post-TEXO, an Eclipse-based SLA Editor has been created which is available from TUD's Eclipse update site and uses the SPACE Trac to track bugs.
